VA Announces Reorganization Plans
On November 10, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Robert McDonald sent a message to all VA employees updating them on MyVA reorganization plans. The message is available on the (http://www.va.gov/opa/pressrel/pressrelease.cfm?id=2657) VA website.

Profile: Navy SEAL Documentary
Lady Valor is a documentary film about Kristin Beck, a former Navy SEAL who came out as a transgendered woman in 2013. The network then commissioned this film, aired it last month and now it's available on VOD and DVD from Wolfe Video. Army Offers Ebola Information
The U.S. Army Medical Command has released a 13-page supplement to its monthly newsmagazine, MERCURY. The November edition special supplement provides beneficiaries with information and resources on the nation's Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) response and what they need to know to stay safe. The publication includes a Public Service Announcement from Army Surgeon General, Lt. Gen. Patricia Horoho and details what the Army has done to support the military's Total Force response to EVD in coordination with federal, state, and local agencies. The Ebola Supplement is available in a .PDF file on the (http://armymedicine.mil/Documents/Ebola-Supplement.pdf) U.S. Army Medical Command website.

Door Opens to New Vet Care Options
The new Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act gives many veterans the option to receive non-VA health care rather than waiting for a VA appointment or traveling to a VA facility. New App Released
A new interactive app called 'Together Strong' has been developed to help veterans and active servicemembers learn what to say and do when a peer is struggling with post-deployment stresses and adjustment to civilian life. Addressed are a range of challenges faced by those who have served including high rates of PTSD, traumatic brain injury and suicide. Solar Education for Veterans Online
(http://www.theveteranasset.org/) The Veteran Asset (TVA) is now offering (http://domesticfuel.com/2014/10/14/the- ... -in-solar/) solar PV scholarships for veterans through its new 32-hour online training program. The training program is being offered in conjunction with Ambassador Energy Solar College. The entry level Solar PV Design and Installation is a five-day course with an exam following the completion of the courses. This course is now offered online. The program is helping TVA reach as many veterans as possible to supply as many trained veterans in the workforce as possible during the current growing demand from the renewable energy industry. VA Pharmacy Receives Award
For the fifth consecutive year, the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) has scored the highest in overall satisfaction in the J.D. Power National Pharmacy Study, Mail-Order segment. This study, conducted annually, measures satisfaction among consumers who filled a mail-order prescription within the last 90 days. Customer Satisfaction is measured across four key factors: cost competitiveness, prescription delivery, prescription ordering, and customer service. VA Women's Center Enters MOU
The Department of Veterans Affairs' Center for Women Veterans (Center) has entered into a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) to increase women Veterans' leadership and career opportunities, which will benefit the nation's workforce and address women veterans' growing needs. The MoA will allow the Center and CAWP to leverage existing resources and increase coordination of activities to help women Veterans develop public service and community engagement skill sets, so they will be prepared for public and community service opportunities. VA Care for Camp Lejeune Alumni
Thousands of veterans with ailments linked to water contamination at Camp Lejeune, N.C. have gained access to VA healthcare thanks to the 2012 Caring for Camp Lejeune Families Act. Unfortunately many eligible veterans and their families are unaware of their access to care.
