On November 4, 2009, CalVet presented the annual John K. Lopez awards for Entrepreneurship Excellence to Richard A. Dryden, Disabled Veterans Business Alliance and Ronald J. Greenwood, Global Energy and Technology, Inc. These awards were made in recognition of the positive and profound impact they have had on disabled veterans businesses in California. The awards were presented by Acting Secretary Roger Brautigan at the State Agency Recognition Awards ceremony held at the Lions Gate Hotel in Sacramento. Also in attendance at the awards presentation was John K. Lopez, for whom the award is named.
