No Truth to Religious Prosecution Rumors
Internet posts making the rounds claiming that the Defense Department will court-martial servicemembers who espouse Christianity are not true, a Pentagon spokesman said recently. However, some bloggers have taken sections of Air Force Instruction 1-1 "Air Force Standards" -- specifically, the section titled "Government Neutrality Regarding Religion" -- out of context in supporting their take, according to the spokesman, For more information, read AFI 1-1 " (http://static.e-publishing.af.mil/produ ... afi1-1.pdf) Air Force Standards."
