WHEN: MONDAY, 27 MAY 2013 1 PM ( 1300 hrs )
WHERE: Veterans Park 309 The Esplanade Redondo Beach, CA. 90277- (corner of Torrance Blvd and Catalina near The Pier)

Redondo Beach will observe Memorial Day 2013 at the new Veterans Memorial in beautiful Veterans Park at the beach at 1 PM on Monday, the 27th of May. The solemn observance will include reflection and remembrance, music, commentary and honors to all those members of the armed forces who paid the ultimate sacrifice in our nations wars. Memorial Day is a time to honor the fallen....
Keynote speaker is Assemblyman Alan Muratsuchi, 66th District. Asm Muratsuchi is also Chair of the CA State Assembly Veterans Committee. Other speakers will include local elected officials and military dignitaries. Participants include the Redondo Union High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC and the Boy Scouts.
Music provided by the Redondo High School Band and the Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes and Band.
Donations and contributions still being accepted for the Redondo Veterans Memorial. Sponsorships available along with the purchase of Memorial Bricks.

The service will be followed by a BBQ picnic sponsored by the Redondo Elks in the Elks parking lot south of the Lodge next to the Park. The BBQ is free for all veterans and members of the military. A $5 donation from all others. Contact Elks at 208-473-6626 to RSVP....
