BACKGROUND: The California Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Home of California in West Los Angeles, is hosting an exhibit of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation’s mobile museum and two panels of the “Wall That Heals, ” a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, DC.

The Foundation oversees the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. and also takes a full replica of the “Wall That Heals” on tour around the Country.

FROM SOUTHBOUND SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (I-405) :

• Exit Wilshire Boulevard WEST.

• Immediately veer right into VA campus entrance, (look for American Flags).

• Turn right at stop sign (Bonsall Avenue). Proceed north on Bonsall Avenue to Nimitz Avenue (about ¼ mile).

• Turn left on Nimitz Avenue and turn left into large parking lot. (If you are picking up a resident, look for parking directly in front of the Home near three flagpoles).

• If you park in the lot, take cement walkway to the main entrance of the Veterans Home of California – West Los Angeles.

• Please check in at Security Desk in lobby. Security Desk phone number is 424-832-8201.

From NORTHBOUND San Diego Freeway (I-405) :

• Exit Wilshire Boulevard WEST.

• Proceed past Sepulveda Boulevard and past the I-405 freeway overpass and on-ramp.

• Look for American Flags and immediately veer right into the VA campus entrance. Turn right at stop sign (Bonsall Avenue).

• Proceed north on Bonsall Avenue to Nimitz Avenue (about ¼ mile).

• Turn left on Nimitz Avenue and turn left into large parking lot. (If you are picking up a resident, look for parking directly in front of the Home near three flagpoles).
