USAA VETERANS INVITATIONAL BENEFITTING
THE VETFUND FOUNDATION AND THE VETERANS SERVED BY CALVET
MATHER – The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) and the VetFund Foundation is joining with USAA to celebrate its 6th Annual Invitational tournament. The event supports the VetFund Foundation’s mission of serving the needs of veterans and their dependents throughout of the state. USAA is the major sponsor of this event.
EVENT: The tournament will provide a unique opportunity to interact and socialize with members of the veterans community and friends of the Vet Fund. The event includes a round of golf, putting competitions, barbecue dinner and awards ceremony, and the opportunity to support the Vet Fund Foundation and CalVet’s efforts to help veterans.
DATE: Wednesday, November 10, 2010
TIME: Check in at 8:00 am, Tee off at 10:00 am and BBQ Lunch and Awards at 2:30 pm
PLACE: Mather Field Golf Course

WHO: Veterans, Members of the VetFund Foundation, Residents from around the Sacramento Area, Stakeholders and friends and family of the veteran community.
BACKGROUND: The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) and the VetFund celebrates its 6th Annual Invitational tournament in support of America's Heroes. This year CalVet along with its non-profit partner the VetFund Foundation is joined by USAA in putting on this event to support our veterans and active military. The VetFund provides funds for projects at the Veterans Homes of California, for special programs for our young veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, for veterans with long-term medical care needs and their families, homeless veterans, and other needs within the veteran community. Its mission is to assist the Department in services for California veterans and their families.
By making a tax-deductible contribution, you will be assisting the VetFund Foundation (Tax ID # 20-5195691) in its mission of serving the needs of veterans and their families throughout the state of California.
