CSC Meeting Announcement

Friday, October 2, is a travel day to the Wyndham Visalia. The CSC Board of Directors Meeting will be at 5:00 p.m. in the Laurel room.

Let's get the day going.
A Continental breakfast on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. in the Oak room. The Continental consists of assorted breakfast breads and bagels with Cream Cheese, a Tray of Seasonal Fresh Fruit, Assorted Chilled Fruit Juices, and coffee.

The California State Council meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, in the Oak room. AVVA will hold its meeting in the afternoon. The CSC committee meetings will be in the afternoon in the Maple, Laurel, and Birch rooms.

The State Council will provide lunch in the Plaza Room for all attendees on Saturday, featuring the Deli-Style Buffet. It includes California Field of Greens Salad. Pasta Salad with Herbed Vinaigrette Dressing. Assortment of Sliced Roast Beef, Smoked Ham, Roasted Turkey Breast. Sliced Swiss, American, Cheddar, and Monterey Jack Cheeses. Tomatoes, Lettuce, Shaved Onion, Pickles, assorted Condiments, and assorted Deli breads. Please RSVP by September 18, 2026, with the names of those who will be coming with you (including spouses and AVVA names).

The State Council will provide a dinner for all attendees on Saturday night in the Plaza Room. The Southwestern Fiesta - Scallop and Seafood Ceviche Santa Cruz, Bay Shrimp, Avocado and Mixed Greens Salad with Lime Dressing, Authentic Mexican Style Pork Carnitas with Warm Flour Tortillas and Condiments, Chicken Mole Poblano, Beef Enchiladas with a Spicy Red Sauce, Fiesta Corn, Spanish Rice and Black Beans, Tortilla Chips, Guacamole, Tomato Pico de Gallo and Picante Ranchero Salsa and for dessert, Banana Cream Pie with Chocolate Shavings or Creamy Traditional Tiramisu Soaked in Espresso. You'll need to RSVP with the names of people coming with you by September 18, 2026.

Sunday, October 4, at 8:00 a.m. Vietnam Vets Breakfast
French Toast, Cheese Blintz, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon & Sausage, Home Fried Potatoes Assorted Breakfast Breads served with Fruit Preserves. Tray of Seasonal Fresh Fruit, Assorted Yogurts Cereal Assortment with Low Fat and Skim Milk, Assorted Chilled Juices.The State Council will provide a buffet breakfast for all attendees in the Plaza Room (including spouses and AVVA) who have submitted a reservation. You'll need to RSVP with the names of people coming with you by September 18, 2026.

On Sunday, October 4, at 9:00 a.m., State Council President Jerry Orlemann will reconvene the full California State Council Meeting with committee reports, CSC Officers and Director reports. The Treasuser will go over financials. AVVA President and the VVA Region 9 Director will do their reports. The meeting will adjourn at 10:00 a.m to allow you to travel home. It will be a fast-paced weekend full of information and camaraderie, helping veterans and their families in your communities.

The cutoff day and time for the hotel is October 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., so make your hotel reservation before then. Please don't worry; we have secured 35 rooms per night for our event so that you can book with confidence.

A good reason to send two delegates to the CSC meeting.
The California State Council will pay $500 to the non-household goods chapter, whose representative answers the roll call on both meeting days, and $250 to the second non- household goods chapter representative, who answers the roll call on both days. Your active participation is crucial for the fair distribution of these funds.
