H.R. 299 - Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2018, as amended Sponsored by Rep. David Valadao, Veterans Affairs Committee, will be brought to the floor under Suspension of the Rules: Debate on the bill should occur around 5:30pm, but that may be subject to change depending on the floor. House expects to vote tonight and pass H.R. 299, Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act 2018

Today, the house suspended the rule and debate was held on the house floor for H.R. 299, the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2018. This bipartisan bill has 330 co-sponsors.
Congressman Phil Roe, TN-1, Chair, House Veterans Affairs Committee lead the debate and was joined by Congressman Mark Takano CA-41, Congresswoman Aumua Amata Coleman Radewagon American Samoa-At Large, Congressman Joe Courtney D-CT-2, Congressman Gus Bilirakis FL-12, Congressman Jack Bergman MI-1, Congressman Lee Zeldin NY-1, Congressman Bruce Westerman AR-4, Congressman Don Bacon NE-2, Congressman Lou Correa CA-46, and sponsor of the bill Congressman David Valado CA-21 provided support on the floor for the bill today. Congressman Mark Takano CA-41, specifically thanked Vietnam Veterans of America for their continued support of this issue.
At the conclusion of the debate votes were order on the bill by Chairman, Phil Roe, House Veteran Affairs Committee.
There were NO objection of the bill on the house floor, and a vote on passage of the bill is expected to occur at 6:30 pm tonight when the House reconvene. Go to Cspan.org to watch this long awaited vote occur supporting our Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans.
