Post by boardman »

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today released the following statement regarding the death of Lieutenant Florence B. Choe, of El Cajon:

“Lieutenant Florence Choe dedicated her life to upholding the ideals that we hold dear in this country and to protecting the liberty of her fellow citizens. We are forever indebted to her service and we will never forget her sacrifice. On behalf of all Californians, Maria and I send our deepest condolences to Florence’s family and friends during this difficult time.”

Choe, 35, died March 27 when an Afghan National Army soldier opened fire on personnel assigned to Combined Security Transition Command - Afghanistan at Camp Shaheen, Mazar-E-Sharif, Afghanistan.

In honor of Lieutenant Choe, Capitol flags will be flown at half-staff.
