Governor Schwarzenegger Issues Statement on Death of Two California Soldiers
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today issued the following statement regarding the death of Staff Sgt. Bryan E. Hall of Elk Grove and PV2 Bryce Gautier of Cypress:
“Staff Sergeant Bryan Hall and Private Second Class Bryce Gautier were true patriots who willingly put themselves in danger to protect their fellow citizens. Maria and I join all Californians in mourning the loss of these brave men and we are forever indebted to their service. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family, friends and fellow soldiers during this difficult time.”
Hall, 32, and Gautier, 22, died April 10th when their military vehicle was struck by a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device in Mosul, Iraq. Both were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, U.S. Army, Fort Carson, CO.
In honor of Staff Sgt. Hall and PV2 Gautier, Capitol flags will be flown at half-staff.
