Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) presents their Legislative Agenda and Policy Initiatives before a Joint Session of the 114th Congress
On May 20, 2015, John Rowan, VVA National President/CEO will testify before a Joint Session of the House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committees regarding VVA Legislative Agenda and Policy Initiatives for the 114th Congress.
The hearing will begin at 10:00 am in room 216 Hart Senate Office Building, Washington DC.

Today, National President John Rowan presented Vietnam Veterans of America Legislative Agenda and Policy Initiatives before a joint session of the 114th House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committee. In his opening statement before the committees, President Rowan thanked Congressman Dan Benishek (MI-1) and Senator Richard Blumenthal (CT) for their introduction of H.R. 1769 and S.901, the Toxic Exposure Research Act of 2015. VVA's testimony was well received by both committees and provided insight into issues within the Department of Veterans Affairs that may require legislative or policy changes to better serve our Nation's Veterans.
VVA National Treasurer Dr. Wayne Reynolds attended the hearing as well as VVA staff members.
Representatives from PVA, AMVETS, MOAA, MOPH, IAVA, BVA and NCOA also presented their legislative priorities.
